Ebook About Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.Book Wicked (A Wicked Trilogy Book 1) Review :
I'm not sure what I expected when I started reading this book. I knew it had sexual content, the other reviews made that clear. I normally assume people are easily offended by erotic content in books and that those reviews are coming from prudes. Perhaps I expected this to be a fantasy book with a little bit of sexual content. However there's just so much of it that it's really the other way around - it's an erotica book with a little bit of fantasy. What fantasy story exists here serves more to tie together the erotic scenes more than anything else. The way a pornographic movie might use a "plot".The erotic story being so much of this book, was that part of it any good? I wish I could say yes. Unfortunately it never really gets beyond lust nor is it creative in anyway. Ren's main qualities are his physique and how he's up front and obnoxious with wanting to have sex with Ivy. Ivy's qualities ... being "tight" and she's supposedly tough? The actual sex scenes are the sort you'd find on literary erotic websites.Tink was good though. I’m usually able to fly through a book, but I was able to put this one down and casually pick it up whenever I felt like it throughout the week. At one time, I had considered quitting and moving on, but I then decided to continue to see if it would get better for me. That’s not to say it’s a bad read, it just didn’t do it for me personally. I wasn’t as into it as I would have liked to have been. I was able to figure out who the traitor was, and my suspicions on who the halfling was, was correct as well. I wasn’t feeling Ivy and Ren’s relationship. There was something lacking in the beginning with development of them getting together. It was like he was being forced into flirting with Ivy. I am curious about Merle and Brighton. I feel like their characters were an important part of the puzzle that hasn’t been used just yet. Maybe they are somehow the middle pieces. Needless to say, I won’t be continuing the series.
